When you use a form on Verified Malaysia — Submit a Company, Claim a Profile, Request a Correction, or Contact Us — we collect the information you enter: your name, email address, the company details you provide, any files you attach, and any message you write. When you browse the site, we also collect standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited through cookies and analytics tools.
We use submission and claim data to review, verify, and act on your request — for example, to check a correction against evidence, or to confirm you represent a company you're claiming. We use browsing analytics to understand site usage and improve the platform. We do not sell personal data or use it for unrelated marketing without your separate consent.
We use essential cookies required for the site to function (such as session state for the compare tray) and analytics cookies to measure traffic and usage patterns. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings.
Supporting documents and logo uploads submitted through our forms are scanned, size-limited, and stored in access-controlled, non-public storage. They are used only for editorial review of the associated submission, claim, or correction.
We retain submission, claim, and correction records — including their review history — for as long as needed to maintain an accurate editorial audit trail, and no longer than necessary for that purpose. Analytics data is retained on a rolling basis per our analytics provider's default retention settings.
